Big Soft Sugar Cookies


4 C. Flour
1 tsp. bkg powder
1/2 tsp bkg soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 c butter softened
1 1/2 C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c sour cream

Sift together dry ingredients & set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla, sour cream. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill for an hour. Roll our THICK (about 1/4 in-1/2 in, think as thick as you want the cookie to end up, it doesn't expand much) Cut with cookie cutters. Bake 350 for 8-10 mins. Don't overcook! The best frosting to use for these is store bought kind Cream Cheese, or whipped Vanilla.
